I'm Colinda, a passionate photographer dedicated to capturing magical moments. My photography journey began with a childhood love for magazines and fashion, inspired by the vibrant colors, striking monochrome sets, bold black and white images, and fearless faces in publications like Life, Ebony, Essence, Vogue, and Vibe. My passion truly ignited when I bought my first Canon camera and ventured to Alaska, where I captured stunning images. Since then, I’ve been devoted to photographing people, places, and events, to create timeless memories.

Fun Facts About Me:

• Nerd Vibes: I attended North Carolina Central University (NCCU), majoring in mathematics with a concentration in computer science when it was cool to be a nerd. Later, I completed my law degree at the Case Western Reserve School of Law.

• Legal Eagle Turned Lens Lover: Before diving into photography, I practiced law in the fields of bankruptcy, real estate, family law, and more. It’s so amazing how many clients will lie to their lawyer -  LOL. 

• Delta Sigma Theta Devotee: I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I love my commitment to community service and mentorship. I was recently invited to be a Board Member for a family crisis and counseling center. I am so super excited about the work that we will continue to protect men and women struggling with domestic violence. 

• True Extrovert: I am a true extrovert who loves meeting new people, especially children. I'm that person who still stays in touch with my friends from the first grade. I am intentional about staying connected. I want people to know they matter.

• Southern Roots and Worldly Wanderer: I'm a Charlotte, North Carolina native who has lived in Ohio, Georgia, upstate New York, Arkansas, and now Houston, Texas.

• Museum Enthusiast: One of my favorites is the National Portrait Gallery in London.

• Foodie Extraordinaire: I have a weakness for eclectic cookies, well crafted burgers and mac and cheese. I love discovering "dive eateries" that serve delicious seafood, chicken and waffles and milkshakes.

• NYC Aficionado: I’m always looking for new reasons to visit New York City.

• Global Aspirations: I’m eager to capture the beauty of Antarctica, the Seychelles, Amalfi Coast, cherry blossom season in Japan, and the vibrant culture of Vietnam. In the US, I want to capture Wyoming, Maui, and all coasts.

• Natural Comedian: People often tell me I missed my calling as a comedian, but the thought of hitting the stage for Open Mic Night makes me faint. Lol!

My photography bursts with vibrant and dynamic colors, making every image come alive with intensity and excitement. Whether capturing the lively hues of a bustling street or the striking contrasts in nature, my use of bold colors brings a sense of energy and passion to each moment.

Dramatic Black and White Images

Alongside my colorful work, I create dramatic black and white images that emphasize the play of light and shadow. These photographs reveal the raw emotion and timeless quality of each subject, focusing on texture, composition, and the deeper narrative within each frame.

Well-Styled Subjects

Attention to detail is key in my work. I ensure that each subject is impeccably styled to enhance the overall aesthetic of the shoot. Whether in a studio or on location, my subjects are presented in a way that highlights their unique qualities and complements the desired theme. I capture subjects in a variety of outfits, including gowns, suits, tutus, muumuus, jeans and boots, loungewear, tribal garb, swimwear, fitness attire, and hats of all types, such as fedoras, cowboy hats, Kangols, and derbys.
